December Prayer Requests

Merry Christmas!

I pray your Christmas was enough. I pray you celebrated Christ's birth. Church on the Street was blessed to celebrate Christmas TWICE! Once, in a "Worship-To-Go" Experience with our Ministry Partner of the Month- Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The good folks of Gloria Dei worked hard to create an atmosphere of love along with the celebration of Christ's Birth. They brought with them around 200 Christmas stockings, 200 meals, and so many "eye-smiles." We were the church - In a parking lot! And, God's Holy Spirit was with us!
We were also blessed with a couple of hundred amazing winter kits of hats, scarves, and gloves, PLUS quilts for everyone! (Thanks to Quilters everywhere!) Amazing! Thank you!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!

It is GREAT to be church together!  Amen!
In mission together, Rebel

Our Second Christmas celebration happened at Laundry with Love where we celebrated serving 960 Families in 2020! That is 960 times we loved our Brothers and Sisters and gave them an opportunity to re-allocate their money to feed and house their family instead of choosing between this and clean clothes. We give thanks to Steve and Moira Zahn for providing the holiday meal and goodies, to the good people of Beaver Valley Lutheran in Brandon, SD, who provided the funds for this night's laundry, and who brought Christmas cheer as they provided cocoa, tied quilts, and kept the night a joyful one, and to the ladies of St. John American Lutheran, SF, for making Christmas Stockings. We give special thanks to Janet Martin for making laundry bags (all year long) for Laundry with Love, and Shirley and Diane for being our cookie queens! God Bless you all, and God bless those of you who support this work to make all this ministry possible! Go you, and Go God!
