August 2023 Prayers

Dear Church on the Street Family,

I often get overwhelmed with all of the programs, worship, and daily interactions with folks and forget to stop and take in everything God is doing through Church on the Street and our countless partners in ministry. 

Well, of course, at the heart of who we are is Jesus, who calls us together to love and serve one another. That's what happens twice a month at Laundry With Love. In typical Church on the Street fashion, a longtime partner, Steve Zahn, asked his friend Steve Young to write this piece that captures the essence of what God is up to in the laundromat. Olivia - Pray for my family and daughter. My daughter is struggling with meth addiction. She’s in the Link Now and hopefully on to a good treatment facility.  Please pray for us. We are struggling with her.

Victor Brown - Pray for me and my health to continue without any more damaging health issures to make me worse.

Djamal -  Pray for me and my success for my sobriety and to become a better person.  Thank you.

Leon White, Sr. - Pray for the broken. I come to church every month and I see a lot of people hurting, sick and in despair and need of help. God, please let them humble themselves to seek help. It may be a long haul, but it would benefit them greatly. Lord please bless the broken.

Barbara Appel -  Pray for Richard Appel, he was in the hospital for 4 days. Last Thursday got out and on Sunday still not feeling good. Please pray for my husband to get well.

Linda - Pray for family and friends and homeless.  May God bless and keep you all safe and warm.  If you are struggling may God show you the way. I am blessed in so many ways, Thank you God for my many blessings.

Signe & Nancy - Pray for healing for my two aunts.

Naahma - Restoration, reunification, salvation for my family, siblings,spouses, grands, my children nieces and nephews.   Everybody!   He is able!  

Chelsea and Leona - Pray for strength as Leona starts preK at a new school.   Me, for a better job.

LeVita - Pray for my Aunt Theda, for her health and for James Winters as he is fighting the battle of cancer and for my children to overcome things. Prayers for myself to be stronger

Kaila Scofield - Prayers for my Aunt and Uncle Gary Scofield for they found out that on 8-10-2023 their daughter was murdered by her husband in Fargo, North Dakota,   Pray for my cousins’ kids now that they don’t have their Mom or Dad. Please, please especially keep the kids in prayers.  They’re 12, 5, 3 years old

Anonymous - pray for Daneelle family. Leah, Isalalis,Damion, and Mabel, they need a home. Mabel is deaf and needs special help,. Pray for the homeless and the working poor.

Pat Eastman - Pray for family protection and guidance.  For all grandchildren to be safe and able to go to school without problems.  For sobriety, patience, and guidance.Please help me to be humble. Thank you for Pastor Chris, Harriet, Cindy and Skylar. Love you all!  Thanks you

Karla Rivers - Pray for myself and for my daughter, Dara.  She’s in Pierre Prison. For Angel he’s at the Pathways in Yankton, He works at the Subway. For an apartment and to keep his job.  Julie in Yankton at HSC. For Dawson in Redfield. For strength and guidance.

Tim Peterson - Pray for Tami Merdow. I would like anyone to pray for my sister.   Tami has cancer and pelvis bone broken from fall on the ground.   We need the Lord to touch and heal her as well.

Daniel Schult - Pray for Becki and me. Pray for my wife Becki Schulte and me that we will get back together, separated at this time. Pray for me because I am going to Sturgis for treatment because of drugs and pray that I’ll be able to get my parole transferred to West River. Pray that God can give me strength to say no to meth and pray that I’ll be able to find housing and a job.  I have been homeless for 4 years. Pray for my family and friends for their safety. Pray for all the homeless people who don’t have shelter and maybe they get to eat. Praise God-God is Good-All the time.

Heather Lyn - Pastor: Lot has gone on thang at the past few years. Pray for me. Good doors. No more closed doors as well all I am working on will happen for me and James Reed. Including us one day move into our own house to own. Amen Amen Amen

Kelsey - Prayer for me and my 5 children to find and be blessed with a home. For my sister Melissa who has kidney failure and is on a ventilator that she pulls through.

Angie - Prayer for Melissa Cordell. Melissa is on a ventilator on dialysis and fighting for her life. Just prayers for comfort and healing.

Shelly - Prayer for self and family. Strength to get through the day.

April - Prayer to help heal my son Lorenzo’s mind. He hears voices and my brother Joe is in bad health. Pray to help heal his health.

Tasha - Prayer for Uncle Joe and grandma Wardy health to get better.

Kristina and John - Please pray for our unborn baby Julia. She has a heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

Sunny - Prayer for all the helpers at Church on the Street. Thank you Jesus!

Cindy - Prayer for my son to get a job and help with rent. For all the people I love. Wash them with your blood sweet Jesus. Pray for me and my health. Please pray for all my enemies that have done me wrong. In your sweet loving name, Amen.

Tosha - Prayer for my sister Sophia’s kidneys. Possibly problems due to Ozempic.

Colleen - Just wanna say thank you for helping with laundry today. First time here to wash, appreciate it. Prayers for family!

Annette - Prayers for Akiya Rose. She’s 5 years old on the spectrum and I’m going to be worried about her cause she’s going to be put in the classroom with regular children. She does not talk.

Rachel - Prayer for Angel Drapeaux and children

RJ - My cousin-she passed away yesterday.

Acely, Aniyes - Prayer for 2 sisters, 14 months and 8 weeks. Mother Destiny prayers for health and getting an apartment. Thank you.
