January 2024 Prayers
Dear Church on the Street Family,
We canceled worship for the first time because of a Blizzard Warning and a -40-degree wind chill. Of course, a few of us gathered in the entryway with warm gear and pizza just in case someone didn't get the message. A few gentlemen who slept at the Bishop Dudley the night before came, so we shared what we had and highly suggested enjoying the comforts of the downtown library when they left.
When life is already hard, winter just adds another layer of hardship for folks, so we keep pressing on to bring the tangible good news of Jesus in warm clothing, presence, and prayer.
This month's pictures feature several photos of the daily operations that aren't always taken because they aren't significant special events. They are just as important and we are grateful for the staff and faithful volunteers who give so much each and every week!
Please note Saturday, February 3rd is Health and Healing at the Multi-Cultural Center from 1:00 - 3:00. All are welcome!

Jennifer - Prayers for My son Dylan to give the strength and hope help my son get better and to be with my husband Will thanks for. All the prayers
Cara - Pray for me to get a house.
Brooke - Pray for us to get into our new place and hopefully we get our daughter back soon cuz we had court Tuesday they are trying to make so we can still have visits with her and Jesse's mom will have her forever.
Barb - My husband fell last week and separated his shoulder then two days ago he fell again and got a gouge in his foot it bleeds when he walks us on February 2 he goes to cardiologist to check for arteries and check to see if something happened to his neck for that exrays please pray that all these tests come out good and they find out about the reasons for his falling I'm worried about him may God heal Rich very soon
Darla - Prayers for Neil goes back to mayo weds. I had mri today. Hope to get outa hospital tues morning.
Kelly - Prayers for my both of my kids (Shawn & his financè Elizabeth & Sheila & her finance Corey) & their families (My unborn Grandchild & all of my other Grandchildren too), prayers for my boyfriend Ralph, he's got heart issues.. Prayers for Kayla with whatever it is she needs prayers for & prayers for the rest of my family & friends.. We all need prayers, including you, Pastor Chris. As well as prayers for myself.
Cindy - My surgery, crystal getting better. For all the people that are out in the cold that don't have anywhere to go. For Pastor Chris and Harriet that help so many people and for our families and friends.
Raylene - My prayer request is to get everything on the right track not be so stressed bout bills.one more thing..please let me get enuff funds to change spark plugs an oil change im ovrdue..an front end alignment.i hit a curb when it was icy
Crystal - Pray that my health improves. I'm tired of being sick. The weather stays nice so Jason can keep working and we can get a new battery for the car..
Jonna - I want to pray to give God my soul to do what I was meant to do. I am sick with a bladder infection, UTI, and kidney stone and am losing my home. I just want to follow my path I was brought here for.
Niftalem - Prayer Request to focus on me put me first keep doing good. Keep taking meds and do what I have to do for myself and daughter. Get a great job I love. And for my setbacks falls losses to be a wonderful setup during and for my journey. For God to give me a clear and smooth path to reach my goals and dream since day one which was always to take care my family and I and be the best that I am and continue to be. Keep families safety health and overall life wonderful.
Amanda - Pray for my sister, who just had twins.
Mary - Pray for Keith. He is having a lot of trouble with his heart and breathing. His doctors appt isn't until a week from tomorrow. We just hope our doctor can figure something out next wk.
Justin - Just pray for me and Jolene. We are going through a hard time and I would like prayers for Katline to get better and things to work out for the better.
Dra - 1st prayer is for forgiveness, mercy and quick healing. For the doctors to have the answers needed and to be able to be guided by God with certainty and the abilities necessary.
Dra - 2nd prayer request, for the strength, endurance, hope, faith and mentality to sustain life right now.
Dra - 3rd prayer requests- praying for the church [us] to love and direct people to God who are in need of Him- and simply love them like Jesus loves them. -And I wholeheartedly pray for the ones who are praying for me.
Prayers for strength and guidance. Pray for the homeless and the ones who are in addiction.
Holly-prayer for all the sick and helpless that need strength and for my family with cancer.

Nicole-prayers for my mother Anna Hill and mother in law Leatrice Smith. I know I put them through a lot and I’m sorry. For my children Zayden Smith, Jeremiah Smith and Malina Hill, your mom will be sober soon. And for myself to find courage and strength when I am alone.
