April 2024 Prayers
Dear Church on the Street Family,
Church on the Street depends on volunteers for the vast majority of its ministry. Sometimes, folks volunteer with us once, and other times, they ask if they can come back and help again. Then, before we know it, our volunteers are showing up for hours each week for years on end.
Since April is volunteer appreciation month, we got to celebrate three outstanding women who keep showing up and doing the hard work and are a blessing to many people! Crystal McKnelly, Yvonne Oppold, and Pastor Lil Johnston were honored at the Helpline Center's Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. You'll find Crystal organizing donations and keeping the storage area in good order. Yvonne is at Laundry with Love, checking folks in and handing out quarters, laundry pods, and dryer sheets, and she shows up for folks in hard places. Pastor Lil is the thriftiest shopper for everything Church on the Street and is especially active in serving folks who come to the pantry!
Thank you! You are a blessing! It is an honor to serve with you!
More opportunities to be Church together are coming!
June 8th is the Pride parade and festival. March with us and come work the booth, too.
June 12th, we're helping host Pride worship at the Coliseum with partners from many Christian denominations.
June 15th is Church on the Street worship.
July 30th is Arts in the Park.
It's great to be Church together!
Pastor Chris
