May 2024 Prayers

Dear Church on the Street Family,

I'm writing to you from the South Dakota Synod Assembly, where over 200 congregations are gathered with the theme, Connect(ed). We are blessed to be the body of Christ loving and caring for one another in so many ways. 

When I got to talk to the whole group, I ended by talking about how we depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to keep us together, especially through prayer. We pray for you, and you pray for us. Then, we are moved to action to be together through the joys and hardships because we share life knowing that God's got us no matter what.

• June 8th is the Pride!

  • The parade will be at 10:00 am on 8th Street from Dakota to Reid St. Join us to march in the parade or cheer us on along the parade route.

  • N Dakota Ave between 6th Street and 8th Street will close at 8:00 AM. Join us at 9:30 AM.

  • Join us for the Festival at the Sioux Falls Stadium from 12:00 - 5:00.

• June 12th is Ecumenical Pride Worship at 6:00. A light dinner will be served during worship!

• June 15th is Church on the Street worship. 

• July 30th is Arts in the Park.

Anonymous: Pray for Linda and Tade relationship healing. Erase and remove any false imaginings that foster  animosity. Help us to find answers

Anonymous: Pray for all the families of the world trying to keep it all together. For all the times of struggle, to be released from the pain to enjoy the families. We do this for the kids to make it with their dreams for all those hopes to not be too high but to be motivated.

Pat Eastman: Pray for family protection, guidance, faith, hope, peace, love to all. For healing from addictions and the homeless. Pray for all the children for healing, guidance and good vibes. Sobriety for all. Thank you

George: Prayer that I can quit gambling and that I can become somebody in this life.

Anonymous: Pray for me and my daughter

Anonymous: Prayers for family, my sister’s health (Lois) She has a broken knee bone-needs healing. Six adult children they all need salvation.  All alcohol and meth addicted people-need prayer. 

Anonymous: Pray for Ramon Ventura. Tamarick Jennesse (alcoholism). JoAnne Rencountre and kids.

Anonymous: Pray for safe passage through life.

Anonymous: Pray for the whole world.

Anonymous: Pray for me and my family, my sons, my daughters, my grandbabies, my sisters, my brothers and all the rest.

Anonymous: Pray for a better life, better health and for everyone who is feeling the same way. Thank you

Anonymous: Pray for those diagnosed with mental illness and dealing with shame issues.

Anonymous: Pray for my son and daughter that the Holy Spirit would invade their hearts and minds and would surrender to healing and forgiveness only You can give.  Thank you Jesus for coming to us. Amen

Anonymous: Pray for Angel to get better and my knees will stop hurting all the time and pray for my neck and back.

Anonymous: Pray for my family who is fighting addiction and struggling for the homeless. Also for my family who need love.

Anonymous: Pray for my sister Heid who is dealing with severe anxiety and depression and anger and fear.

Karla: Prays for myself, my daughter, Dara, does drugs, mentally abuses me. For my son Dawson, in Redfield. For my Julie in Yankton, for Angel in Rapid City in minimum prison for strength and guidance. For sobriety for myself. I may be out of my place on the 24th. Pray for me, I don’t know where I am going.  Thank you

James T: A lot going on. Pray for safety as well as for us to get a rent to own house and my money due to us come back to us. Amen Amen

Anonymous: Pray for Dunier to know the deepness and to be more open for new things.

Heather Pastor: James need for living situation a 3 bed room. Trying to get my place until we can invite into our own rent to own house. Pray for safety as well a lot goes on. A powerful pray, be great. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Anonynous: Blessing pray for James Reed is in treatment to get off of drinking alcohol. We are finally getting a placement soon. Healthier Pastor and James Reed.

Patricia: Approved into my hopefully new apartment (Summit Heights)

Anonymous: Pray for unwanted attention to stay away. 

Jennifer T: Prayer for my children and I. We are homeless at the time. Hopefully not too long tho. I pray we find a home soon. Thank you
